Coomera / Upper Coomera
Coomera has long been earmarked by the Gold Coast City Council and the State Government for a new satellite growth suburb of the Gold Coast, similar in many ways to Robina. Coomera's is expected to multiply to about 80,000 over the next 20 years as the area develops into a self-sufficient regional town centre.
The area is separated into Coomera to the east and Upper Coomera to the west of
the Pacific Motorway respectively.
A catch phrase commonly used is Boomera - “BOOMING COOMERA”

A former whistlestop on the highway
south to the Gold Coast has been ranker Number 1 for house capital growth in
Queensland. Coomera, better known as home to Dreamworld leads the way when it
comes to rising house prices.
“In 12 months, Coomera experienced capital growth of more than 50 per cent and
property prices are expected to power along, with Property Value predicting
growth of more than 25 per cent this year”.
Demographics: Located just 40
minutes from Brisbane CBD and 25mins from Surfers Paradise Beach.
Schools: Five major schools are
located in the Coomera area, one of which has been running for over 130 years.
The schools which are in the area include two catholic schools and two public
schools: Coomera State Primary, Saint Stephens College, Coomera Anglican
College, Assisi Catholic College and Upper Coomera State College.
Upper Coomera is seen as having the semi-rural lifestyle, but this is shared with the development of single detached dwellings. There are a mixture of land uses from dairy farming and cattle grazing to crop growing. The developments in this location benefit from the close proximity to the Coomera River. The Upper Coomera precinct has also seen much development with Coomera Springs, a residential development that is have 750 home sites set around a lake, parklands, and recreational facilities. Other developments include Coomera Parklands, Coomera Grand, River Meadows and College Grange.
